Sabotages are game-changing events that monsters have at their disposal within the spin-off title Project: Playtime. Bought with Toy Tickets, sabotages are hindrances that affect the Specialists, making their task more difficult for them, Sabotages can also be upgraded, making them last longer or work more efficiently.

Functionality

Sabotages may be selected at the customization option on the main menu, or during the initial countdown when the player becomes the monster. Sabotages may not be changed once play starts, nor can they be changed while waiting in the lobby. Contrary to popular belief, sabotages are linked to player account, not which monster is selected. Unlocked and upgraded sabotages are freely interchangeable between any monster.

Many sabotages can be bought and equipped with the Toy Tickets currency, which can be obtained from simple actions throughout gameplay. There are currently 8 different sabotages at your disposal. Unlike Perks, monsters can only equip having only one sabotage a round.

You can only have one sabotage equipped every round, however you can make them last longer as you upgrade them using your earned Toy Tickets. The first, initial purchase costs 600 tickets, the second upgrade costs 1,200 tickets, and the third upgrade costs 2,400 tickets. Sabotages can be activated anytime during the game as long as it's not on cooldown, and can benefit you when downing survivors or by simply distracting or temporarily damaging survivors around the map.

  • Sabotage has no effect on Specialists in the Feeding Pit. Any Specialist that is in the pit when a sabotage is unleashed will not be affected while in the pit.
  • Shutdown is the Sabotage used during the tutorial. The player will always use Shutdown when trying to sabotage, even if their player account has a different sabotage active.
  • In the Phase 3 update, two of the sabotages have been removed due to being merged into other sabotages. Directionless is now paired with Living Nightmare and Total Lockdown is now paired with No Escape.
