- Boxy's passive ability allows for easier movement around maps, as most barriers can be jumped over with Boxy.
- An effective example is on the Toy Factory map, where Boxy can jump over railings and blocked pathways allowing for easier movement.
- Taking advantage of Boxy's quick jabs, you can quickly open lockers more efficiently, allowing for easier hunts for any additional Survivors.
- Boxy's low gravity-type falling capabilities can allow for you to have more airtime, allowing you to glide in the air and quickly catch Survivors off-guard while they are solving any puzzles.
- In a map like the Theater, where multiple entrances and exits can be found simply by falling back into the room from the roof, this ability is great for situations like these.
Boxy Boo
“ | Boxy starts as a simple music box that can transform in an instant to a terrifying enemy.
Boxy has several ways to surprise his prey. He can go into box form and hide amongst the scenery. His spring-arm allows him to grab survivors and pull them close before clawing them to death. On top of it all, his music will become louder and faster the closer he gets to his prey. This cute but deadly creature is the horrific offshoot of several failed experiments. The first of his kind, he was based off of his toy counterpart. The original toy was created in 1966, and was later used as the base structure to create this monster. ASSESSMENT: Do not engage. |

— Boxy Boo's Assessment description in Project: Playtime |
Boxy Boo is a selectable monster that makes his debut in Project: Playtime. He is a box-shaped figure with springs connecting to his body, and has a variety of moves that require stealth and precision.
Appearance
Boxy Boo is a vibrant, colourful jack-in-the-box toy. The main body is a light blue square box with golden shapes adorning each side: a square, two stars and two circles parallel to one another, and a heart. There is also a wind-up crank just above one of the circles. Aside from the stars, each shape can open up to the box's interior, revealing each of his crimson red body parts. His feet and head are cubical and he has matted red fur. Boxy Boo's eyes are big and dilated, just like Huggy Wuggy's. He has claws on his feet and hands and has curved sharpened teeth. His limbs consist of dark-red metallic springs, allowing them to stretch far out.
Personality
Boxy Boo as a toy character is portrayed as joyful and energetic, but somewhat clumsy as shown in his various cut-outs. But as a monster, he is monstrously savage, being able to eat people in one fell swoop as shown in the cinematic trailer. While he hungers for food, he has some form of patience, being able to play the long game by hiding in his box and coming out to attack when people least expect it.
Story
Backstory
Boxy Boo was originally created in 1966, five years after Bron was created. While he was somewhat successful, he wasn't as popular as the other toys, not appearing in the company's main line-up of mascot toys in the 90's. However, Playtime Co. found a new purpose for Boxy Boo. Boxy Boo's box could be seen in the tape introducing the Bigger Bodies Initiative: the factory's infamous experiments with the goal of creating giant workforce to avoid lawsuits and have more efficient work done. The Boxy Boo in Project: Playtime is the first successful Bigger Bodies Initiative monster to have been created. His purpose was to dispose any lower-ended employees aware about the Initiative.
It is presumed that Boxy Boo is Experiment 1160, as the Experiment 1188 Bigger Bodies Proposal refers to Experiment 1160 having enhanced mobility, a quality Boxy Boo is known for.

After Boxy Boo was created, Harley Sawyer visited his containment cell. The angry hunter roared and played his music box as the doctor revelled in his success, proclaiming the creature to be "the first of many" and his very existence opening many possibilities- some presumably leading to immortality. Harley then decided that the hunter's appetite must be attuned to human flesh. He asks a nearby doctor for an update on Rowan Stoll's situation.
Rowan Stoll's Computer Database
After sending a recording to Leith Pierre regarding the rumours of "nanny cameras" being hidden within Huggy Wuggy's eyes, Rowan Stoll gains knowledge about Playtime Co.'s true ambitions and knows he will die at the hands of their experiments. Rowan writes a letter to his mother after ending his third, final recording and walks downstairs towards the Theatre's backstage, where he would be eaten alive by Boxy Boo.

When Experiment 1199 was introduced to the other experiments, they were hostile to him and initially observed him. While 1199 was looking at PJ Pug-a-Pillar, Boxy faintly played his music box before grabbing and attacking the small experiment. He fled the scene when the security team entered the room to save 1199, though they had caused significant damage to him.
