Uh, something dangerous is going on and I-I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, I'm sure it was just some big mistake, but... I saw what I saw.

Rowan Stoll, Recording 01

Rowan Stoll was the Head of Information Technology for Playtime Co. He makes his debut in Rowan Stoll Concerns, a series of tapes exclusively downloadable on his Computer Database on his FTP server.

Appearance

Rowan has dark brown hair and brown eyes, along with stubble on his chin. He wears circular glasses and the generic Playtime Co. employee outfit: a yellow long-sleeved polo shirt with a Playtime Co. ID lanyard. He wore dark blue khakis as seen within his final recording.

Personality

Judging by the tapes, Rowan appeared to be very good with computers, as he was the Head of Information Technology at Playtime Co. He also had a lot of power in his department, being able to arrange for the factory's servers to be shut down for maintenance or swept for leaked company secrets. Originally, he cared about the company and investigated anything Playtime Co. might have inadvertently done that would damage their reputation, even if it was regarded as a joke to his colleagues. He also seemed to be scared of Leith Pierre, as he constantly stuttered in the recordings; however, he could just have trouble speaking.

Once he discovered Playtime Co.'s true colors, he lost all faith in the company, doing everything he could to expose their vile deeds to the public. His fear of Leith Pierre also increased exponentially, with Rowan stating that he "is a different person entirely." After a failed attempt on his life, Rowan became paranoid, believing he would die by Playtime Co.'s hand.

Story

May 9, 1988

An archived tweet reveals Rowan Stoll informing Playtime Co. that he works with computers, not with the mechanical department. He had been queried to fix a machine with the appearance of a piano.[2] This machine was later revealed in Project: Playtime as the Puzzle Pillars.

March 30, 1991

Rowan Stoll attempts to catch the attention of Leith Pierre regarding the possibility that the eyes in the Huggy Wuggy statue secretly held nanny cameras. Multiple tour guests complain that Huggy Wuggy stares at kids, and although seeming like a joke, Rowan believes that this is true.

May 28, 1991

Rowan Stoll is now seen backtracking on his previous statements, claiming he went to interview the Maintenance guy and the man simply failed to lock Huggy's eyes in place, causing his eyes to dangle. Rowan tells Mr. Pierre that there will be no more videos coming from him.

Night of Death

After recording a video warning future investigators regarding the infamous side of Playtime Co. on June 15, 1991, Rowan Stoll decided to visit an unknown area, possibly a backstage to the formally teased Theater in Rowan Stoll's Computer Database. During his visit to the backstage, he encountered a large box that we now know as Boxy Boo. He, oddly, walked up to the box only for Boxy to spring its square head toward the 31-year-old employee, swallowing him alive. It is presumed that Boxy was aware of Rowan's knowledge of the mysterious "Monster that eats people alive" that he had acknowledged in Recording 03.

  • Prior to the second recording of Rowan Stoll Concerns, it was believed that the man in the videos wasn't Rowan Stoll. This was until his name tag was shown in the second recording.
  • People presume that Rowan Stoll was the one who wrote the Employee Confidentiality Agreement due to the number of times he had been mentioned for nearly no reason or disregard at all.
