The Scientist is an unknown employee who was researching The Prototype and is first heard in Final Log. He later is heard within Log 08502 in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web.

Personality

The Scientist appears to be deeply committed to his work, to the point of letting others affected be dealt with the consequences of his actions. This neglectful behavior is shown in Log 08502, as he states the Surveillance Specialist killed by 1006 was a mere "casualty." He also seemed to have complete faith in the Bigger Bodies Initiative, as he forwent his life to leave instructions for the containment and disposal of future experiments. In addition, he believed that he could forget death if a breakthrough occurred.

Trivia

• He is the only scientist we hear of (other than Eddie Ritterman and the Female Scientist), outside of presumably more scientists dying/being injured in the background of the tape.
• In Chapter 2, he confirms that Experiment 1006 is not Huggy Wuggy but a separate entity.
• Judging by his role monitoring the two Experiments, he may be the head or primary Scientist for Experiments 1170 and 1006.
• As he is presumed to be a scientist, it is heavily likely he has relations with Eddie Ritterman, who would be his superior if Eddie is the Head of Research.
• The Scientist may have connections to Harley Sawyer, since he oversees Huggy Wuggy and the Prototype.
