Stella Greyber (misspelt as Stella Graybur on the Pink VHS Tape) is a character introduced in Poppy Playtime. She debuted in Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze as a potential Playtime Co. employee and was confirmed to have been hired in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. She recorded the game messages for the Game Station, as she was the intercom voice whenever The Player pulled a lever to open each of the games after completing one/starting them.

Appearance

Little is known about Stella Greyber, but her unique Dutch accent in one of the VHS tapes has been confirmed to be Dutch-American by her voice actor, which supports the unique lilt heard in her accent.

Personality

Stella appears to have a very friendly and bubbly personality and seems to be an adult that felt like she never grew up. She gets caught up in the idea of how nobody truly feels like an adult, and that childhood feels permanent. She wishes to have the innocence she once had as a young girl and would like to contribute to the happy childhoods of children. She seems to be a hard-working and respected individual, as she has her own tube slide in Higher-Up Tunnel.

History

Not much is known about Stella's history, but it is known she was an employee at Playtime Co. who was hired at an unknown date. It is mentioned that all the Reports of orphans on the game station were to be sent to her, proving she was a high level employee. Later, in the Chapter 3 Interactable ARG, it is shown that Joel Sinclair knew her, at least on a first name basis, and that she had become in charge of the Playcare. In the Cross-Department Report, she expresses the fact that she never was a fan of CatNap but is surprised by how well he ended up performing.

Trivia

• She shares the same voice actor as Poppy Playtime, which led people to believe that she was Poppy.
  • Chapter 2 disproves this, by showing that Stella mentions Mommy Long Legs (created in 1991), and Poppy Playtime was created in 1950.
• Stella Greyber is one of the 6 higher-up employees who knew about the experiments going on at Playtime Co., the others being Elliot Ludwig, Harley Sawyer, Leith Pierre, Eddie M.N Ritterman, and the Head of Production, theorized to be The Player.
• Greyber is German for "Digger of Graves/Ditches", which is fitting considering that her work in the Playcare and the Game Station resulted in the deaths of numerous children.
