Playcoins are one of the two different currencies seen within Project: Playtime. Unlike Toy Tickets, Playcoins are used to primarily buy cosmetics in Shoppy or in the Toybox. Playcoins can be only purchased with in-real life currencies.

Pricing

Playcoins can be purchased with real-life money.

$9.99 USD
1,600 Playcoins
$14.99 USD
2,200 Playcoins
$19.99 USD
5,600 Playcoins
$49.99 USD

Simply purchasing Playcoins is the only way to obtain the coins. You cannot trade Toy Tickets for Playcoins, and Playcoins cannot be used for any pay-to-win purposes.

Using Playcoins

Playcoins are primarily bought to buy in-game cosmetics. You can obtain these cosmetics from the in-game shop or via the Toybox. Each item is attached to a certain rarity, and the more detailed the cosmetic is, the higher the rarity it is given, hence, the amount of Playcoins it has. Certain cosmetics will sometimes be cheaper than the average legendary; for example, a legendary Outfit and Hat.

Any holiday-related rarities are exclusive to their respective days all for a limited time, with them being affiliated with any rarity. Regardless, they still remain the same price although being exclusives. Uncommon rarity, on the other hand, can be found in the files within Project: Playtime, although doesn't end up going used for the time being.

Trivia

  • There was a previous bug with Playcoins where Canadians would have to pay double the amount of in-real life currency to buy Playcoins.
    • This, at the time, wasn't a problem until no matter where you were, you would be charged double regardless of what the in-game price states.
