Huggy Wuggy

Not what you're looking for? See Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime.

Vicious and terrifying, Huggy is not a monster to be trifled with.

This monster is a natural-born killer. He uses brute strength and his quick speed to catch his prey before hugging them to death.

There's more to Huggy's strategy than may meet the eye,,, he has eyes everywhere. He will place Mini Huggies in his territory to help watch over everything. If these Huggies spot anything out of place, they will scream to alert him, and Huggy will arrive in seconds.

This Huggy appears to be a living, giant version of the famous Playtime Co. toy. The toy was created in 1984. In recent years, a giant statue was placed in the factory's main lobby, but it appears he was far from inanimate.

ASSESSMENT: Avoid at all costs.

Huggy Wuggy's Assessment Description in Project: Playtime

Huggy Wuggy is a returning character from Poppy Playtime, being one of the three selectable monsters for Project: Playtime. He is described as a natural-born killer with an inhuman combination of brute strength and quick speed, and he currently has two abilities to his disposal.

Appearance

His appearance remains the same as the various other Huggy Wuggy incarnations. He has thick blue fur, long arms and legs, yellow hands and feet, a small torso and black dilated pupils. Huggy's mouth has rows of sharp teeth, hidden behind his red cartoonish lips.

Gameplay

Huggy Wuggy is a playable monster implemented into Project: Playtime along with Mommy Long Legs and Boxy Boo. Huggy's tactic of hunting the players is to utilize his brute strength and speed to catch up to the players and hug them to death, making him suitable for players who opt to charge head first. He also has the ability to put smaller versions of himself in his range.

These smaller Huggy Wuggies act as alarms, as when a player is detected in its range, the creature lets out a screech which will attract Huggy to its location in a matter of seconds, giving him a small speed boost. Unfortunately, Huggy Wuggy must crouch to go under small ledges and corridors, leaving for weird chase situations with the ending result in the Survivor escaping.

Abilities

BabyHuggy.png
Wuggy Sentry
Description Huggy Wuggy places a small version of himself, acting as an alarm. You can see which Wuggy was triggered, alongside screeching whenever a Player runs past them. Up to 5 Wuggies can be placed.
Cooldown 15 seconds
Strategies
  • You can place the Wuggy sentry near Puzzle Pillars to alert Huggy Wuggy when a Survivor is attempting to complete a Puzzle.
  • Another example includes small corridors and vents, you can actually place the Wuggy sentry in the Vents, and placing the Wuggy sentry in small corridors will result in the Survivor either being forced to go through the other Wuggy, or take a longer route.
  • You can place the Wuggy sentry over or around any Feeding Pit deposit, which can alert Huggy if any survivors are trying to revive their teammates.
  • Finally, if you are using the Shutdown sabotage, you can place a Wuggy sentry at one or both generators to be alerted when a Survivor is attempting to reboot it.

Charge.png
Charge Hug
Description Huggy Wuggy aggressively rushes on all fours, giving him an immense speed boost for about 2 seconds. Can be used as a offensive move by running into an opponent, which will result in an instant jumpscare despite health.
Cooldown 30 seconds
Strategies
  • It is best to use the charge offensively to eliminate Survivors, as the move can instantly kill players no matter their health. Make sure to get a clear path in order to actually ram into the Survivor without running into any high ledges or barricades.
  • Using the charge as a mobility move is a viable solution, although using the move as mobility is difficult considering the fact that the rush is hard to control.
