Destroy-a-Toy

Destroy-a-Toy, otherwise formally known as the Recycle Mill is a playable map debuting in the spin-off title Project: Playtime. The map would release along with the long-awaited release of Phase 2: Incineration. The map is showcased to be an incineration facility designed to specifically incinerate or dump remaining/unused toys within the Playtime Co. factory.

Development

The map would be teased at Project: Playtime's launch; it would be depicted behind a blurred image of the upcoming map. Data miners, however, were able to obtain the unblurred image, revealing an early version of the map.

On the 5th of March, Project Playtime's official twitter account made a post announcing a delay for the Destroy-a-Toy map which was at the time known as the Recycle Mill.[1] The image would consist a small snippet of the molten lava mechanism seen under the factory's logo after the release of Phase 2: Incineration. Evidently, the image was an early concept of the map as the location would undergo be heavily renovated post-release.

On the 27th of May, the Mob Entertainment channel released the map reveal of the Destroy-a-Toy. They also announced the name of the new "season" (ProjectPlaytimePhase2), Incineration.[2] On the 27th, Mob Entertainment had also released a video called “Destroying Huggy Wuggy” in the honor of the new map.[3]

On the 28th of May, Mob Entertainment released another video called "Kissy Missy Cake", where they destroyed Kissy Missy and made her into a cake. This move was yet again done in the honor of Destroy-a-Toy.[4]

On the 31st of May, Destroy-A-Toy and Phase 2: Incineration were released alongside a slew of bug fixes and unique cosmetic bundles.

Appearance

The Destroy-A-Toy map is an incineration facility created for the disposal of Playtime Co.'s unused toys. It heavily resembles the Playtime Factory; however, it consists of several gated pathways and lifted platforms, filled with a variety of abandoned toy components and other machinery. There are also various mechanisms producing molten lava, fire, and other means of incineration that are used to destroy the remaining products. In addition, gears and large machines are being transported around the map by chains to rooms located outside the area.

Playcare Teaser

An official teaser for upcoming characters and the Playcare location can be seen in-game on a mural alongside a poster seen in an area elusive to reach. The poster depicts three toys; part of the Smiling Critters line. These consist of KickinChicken, CraftyCorn, and DogDay. The mural portrays a large area vividly illuminated in red, yellow, and blue hues, featuring the same spring eyes featured on the Make-A-Friend machine and Molding Room mechanisms.

Sticky Notes & Notepad

Various Post-it notes can be observed around the Destroy-A-Toy facility, particularly affixed to office equipment within the internal control zones of the site. A Post-it note found on a computer prompts the user to "Check Boxy Project", which is likely referring to Boxy Boo - the initial installment of the Bigger Bodies Initiative. Another Post-it note features 6/27, presumably meant as a sneak peek into Poppy Playtime's third chapter. Lastly, a Post-it stuck to a desk edge reminds an employee to "Call Kay", possibly being in reference to Mob Entertainment's Project Manager Kay Oldow.

A notepad sitting on a slew of desks spread around the facility reveals faded pieces of writing. The note reads, "If you are reading this, Run! You are not safe Leave this place!". The note also states that "Everything is out of control", indicating a serious situation. It seems the author was highly alarmed, as they mentioned being "freaking out". The previously mentioned "serious situation" presumably could be the events overheard on the Final Log.
