The Employees are the main people working at Playtime Co. to create the toys and sell them, one of these is Huggy Wuggy, which was the most popular mascot. This page lists all the known employees of the Company.

Founder

Elliot Ludwig is the main founder and CEO for the Playtime Co. Company. It is known that he was full of imagination and creativity, which was why his designs were so unique. There isn't much to say about him, as he only appeared in the VPC. In Chapter 2: Fly in a Web, we get to know more about him on his biography, which the Player finds in his office. In the VHS tape we discover that he was a divorced man whose ex-wife was called Molly. Furthermore, we find out that Elliot suffered a tragic family loss in the 1960s, but even so, he continued with his goal of giving joy to children. We also hear his voice in the Chapter 3 Teaser Trailer.

Supervisors & High Ranked Members

Leith Pierre is a supervisor for all employees at Playtime Co. Company and is seen in many tapes like the Green VHS Tape, Playtime Co. Merch Tape, Playtime Co. Digital Collectible Tape, and more. It is known that he is pretty jumpy and despised by other employees. Pierre is quite arrogant about Playtime Co. and is proud of his work. Pierre is also the Head of Innovation and the Chief of the Innovation Department. Presumably, as the Innovation department could have been the most executive department, he may have held an important role only surpassed by Ludwig himself.

Stella Greyber is one of the many employees mentioned in the Pink VHS Tape, she is full of childish personality and thinks that adults are "kids but older". She also thinks that nobody ever feels like an adult. Before the release of Chapter 2, it was theorized that she was the one possessing Poppy Playtime, but this doesn't make sense. In the Game Station, when the Player pulls the lever that activates the intercom, Stella speaks about the three games the children must play. This means that Stella was still an employee after Mommy Long Legs' creation in 1991. It's theorized that she is the head of Playplace.

Eddie Ritterman is an employee mentioned in his note concerning Warrenbach Construction and the deal made between Playtime Co. and Warrenbach to create a secret project only meant to be known to Executives in Warrenbach and Playtime Co. respectively. He also mentions a hefty compensation for Warrenbach of around $100,000 US dollars. He then ends by stating he prefers the laboratory be completed within 12 months but stating the most important part is the laboratory being built correctly.

Considering that the project was only meant to be known between Playtime Co. and Warrenbach higher-ups, it is clear Ritterman is a higher-up himself and it is theorized he may be the Head of Research as he mentions a laboratory being constructed. Otherwise, he might be just a Corporate representative or the/one of the Director(s) of the Secret Project.

Jimmy Roth is the Chief Marketing officer seen in a tape with his namesake.

From the video, Roth seems to be very happy and enthusiastic with his work, boasting that marketing isn't simple and that he makes it look simple. However, with some analysis, it does seem like Roth is hiding something or is underestimating the true work he and Playtime Co. does. This is seen when he cuts off the interviewer's reply with a completely random topic about blue in order to not answer any more questions. Additionally, him stating that his tactic of an "e" sound to help with profits is rather odd and not something that would boost profits, especially for a corporation, by itself.

Roth also does appear arrogant as he says he makes marketing easy and that it is difficult, and he wants to present his work more by saying Playtime Co. shouldn't be popular for its toys but for the marketing.

Harley Sawyer is a Playtime Co. executive responsible for being the founder and chief proponent of the Bigger Bodies Initiative. Due to the nature of the Initiative and his plans for it, he is ultimately the cause of the downfall of Playtime Co. and the start of Poppy Playtime.

From the "Can you hear us?" tape alone, Sawyer appears to be grumpy, tired, yet incredibly dedicated to Playtime Co. to the point of sacrificing innocent lives. He comments on the failure of the company in a way that seems like his disgust is genuine and his support for Playtime Co. is similarly genuine. Despite this, Sawyer also appears very apathetic because he mentions workplace incidents then in the next sentences, he talks about how a lawsuit couldn't be avoided. This shows that Sawyer only cares about the companies welfare and not the welfare of the workers themselves.

Due to the fact that he is called "The Doctor", he may have experience with science or perhaps he may even be a scientist with Playtime Corporation. His nickname may also be somewhat of an allusion to himself, because a doctor wants to keep people healthy and alive by helping them combat issues with their bodies and checking up on them, just like how Sawyer wants to keep Playtime Co. alive by creating the Bigger Bodies Initiative to combat the current problems of Playtime Co.

The Head of Security is an employee first revealed in the Confidential Reports folder, providing updated info of an unknown employee's death to Leith Pierre. Other than that, little to no other information is available about them, but it is known they are in charge of Playtime Co.'s security and is likely a very important person, as security is known to be a major presence in the corporation. Since they manage security, they may be in charge of Huggy Wuggy's security duties as well as maintaining other "tamer" parts of security as mentioned by Leith Pierre in his first tape.

Employees

Sharon is a new character mentioned in the Playtime Co. Digital Collectible Tape. Leith Pierre calls her an idiot for not turning off the microphone at the last moments and threatens to fire her. Her name is also mentioned in Project: Playtime by Leith when the Survivor is caught by Huggy Wuggy in the tutorial.

Rich is a very strict employee who gets angry at small accidents or misplacements. He is heard yelling at Avery in the Yellow VHS Tape and complaining about a job demotion in the Cyan VHS Tape.

Avery is a character mentioned in the Yellow VHS Tape and who is heard talking with Rich. In Chapter 2, he's mentioned on a note reading "Lunch with Avery Fri."

Jaren is a new character mentioned in the Playtime Co. Merch Tape. He gets called out by Leith Pierre in the tape because one of the Huggy Wuggy shirts has Huggy eating a human arm. This indicates he may be working in the Marketing Department.

Marcas Brickley is an employee who first appeared in Chapter 2. He is a hard-working person and seems to scare easily because of his encounter with a mysterious creature.

The Player is the main protagonist of Poppy Playtime in Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze and Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. They get a note from the "employees" saying that "they are still here" in the factory after the Incidents. The Player decides to finally explore the factory and uncover the truth about the history of Playtime Co. It's theorized that they were the Head of Production.

  • Unknown Announcer

The Unknown Announcer is seen in the Big Spider PSA found in Chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime.

Judging by his role, he may be a part of the Corporation management and somewhat annoyed by the complaints of the mascots, muttering complaining as a contribution in a tone that sounds condescending and disappointing. However, he may just be curious and slightly surprised that there were that many complaints.

Patty Hall is an employee mentioned in Discolors Rejection Note in Fly in a Web and on the Notice of Disciplinary Action in Rowan Stoll's Computer Database. She was presumed to have worked on the factory line, with her job being to color the manufactured toys. In an act of defience for unspecified reasons, Patty purposefully miscolored an entire shipment's worth of toys, making them devoid of use and wasting resources. She was demoted and sent down to Storage B.

Dr. Matthew Wayson is an employee mentioned in his formal request to add windows inside the Game Station. due to the rowdiness and psychological concerns he has about the children.

Because he is referred to as"Dr.", he may a scientist responsible for recording the children and the experiments. However, he is more likely to be a psychologist as he focuses primarily on the mental health of the children and notes a good point about an area needing to feel natural in order to make people feel comfortable and act normal.

  • Unnamed Female Scientist
Picture of Female Scientist

The unnamed female scientist seen in RESTRICTED_restoration.mp4 was an employee of Playtime Co. responsible for overseeing Experiment 1199, also known as Thomas Clarke. She narrates the background of Thomas as a human and his role in Playtime Co. before explaining what happened to him and why he decided to volunteer to become a Bron toy. She also records 1199 and what happens to him. She was presumably the one who turned Thomas into a Bron toy. Due to her role in the Experiments, she may have relations with the 1006 Scientist, Harley Sawyer, and Eddie Ritterman, although these are unconfirmed.

Thomas Clarke was a former Playtime Co. employee who was turned into a Bron toy voluntarily and designated as Experiment 1199. He had worked in Playtime Co. since 1955, indicating that he was a very experienced worker, possibly in management positions by then. However, he, unfortunately, developed terminal lung cancer six months prior in presumably 1991, making him volunteer to become a Bron toy. When Thomas became a toy, the female scientist noted that he seemed to be very disoriented and moved his eyes around constantly, with her believing that he didn't even know where he was or what happened to him. Thomas was then placed in a room full of other toys and they promptly noticed him and began to eye him up, before attacking and severely wounding him, with his larynx and thyroid being completely devoured by the toys. While he survived via surgery, he was unable to speak afterward.

Others

The Scientist is a minor character appearing only verbally in the Black Tape and in Log 08502. He is supposedly one of the many scientists hired by Playtime Co. to experiment on their toys. Judging by him clearly not caring about his coworkers losing their lives, he may be egoistic and lets others deal with the consequences of his own actions, such as the possible creation of Experiment 1006. In the Black Tape, he states that he would be back after a breakthrough, but before he can end the recording, it stops prematurely, indicating the Scientist was killed.

Faces of the deceased/missing Retrieval Team members.
  • Unnamed Retrieval Team members

The Unnamed Retrieval Team members were a part of the staff sent to retrieve Huggy Wuggy after his escape from the Playtime Co. Facility in RESTRICTED_disappearance. They were equipped with tranquilizer guns in order to sedate Huggy Wuggy should they find them and at least one of them rode out in a car to find Huggy Wuggy, alongside another who recorded themself being attacked by Huggy Wuggy. Out of 11 casualties, 5 were declared deceased while the other 6 were deemed missing.

The Resource Extraction Specialists are the employees in Project: Playtime responsible for collecting toy parts throughout various locations by solving puzzles, getting to a chute, and then escaping via the train they arrived on. The Specialists face 3 mascots as obstacles: Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, and Boxy Boo. The Resource Extraction Specialists appear to be disposable as when the player gets captured in the Tutorial, Leith Pierre disappointingly tells Sharon to "find a new Resource Extraction guy", implying that Leith has seen many Specialists get killed by the mascots. Three extraction specialists named Johnny, Maggie and Bill are introduced in the Tutorial for Phase 1. Three other extraction specialists (with randomly generated names) are introduced in the Tutorial for Phase 2.

  • Leith Pierre's Assistant

Leith Pierre's assistant is an unnamed character who appears in the Tutorial for Phase 2: Incineration update for Project: Playtime, taking Pierre's place since he's on vacation. The assistant himself is voiced by Micah Preciado
