Final Log

The Final Log (conjectural title) is a VHS Tape recording found within Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze of Poppy Playtime. The tape can be first obtained when entering the Poppy Room. The tape itself plays a recording of a Scientist's log about The Prototype, whilst the experiments are causing a massive murderous rampage in the background. Towards the end, the Scientist is interrupted and killed by an unknown creature.

Location

Plot

On August 8th, 1995, an unknown scientist lists the video as the final log in relation to Experiment 1006, who also goes under the alias The Prototype. The scientist logs to current state of The Prototype, explaining that his precise coordination and cooperation remains. However unlike prior logs, the Prototype seems to have been missing for sometime.

In the background of the final log, people can be heard screaming as the monsters roam freely around the factory. The Scientist continues by explaining that without the Prototype, their experimenting had gone wrong and they can't continue. The scientist stops speaking for a brief second to the surprise of a monster banging on his door.

The scientist finalizes the tape by explaining to any future viewers that if they want to continue the experimentation that was preformed with Playtime Co., they must safely confine the monsters at a secure location. The scientist attempts to conclude the tape by explaining that understood or not, the experiments created was a large breakthrough and science and one more discovery will continue the work the scientist preformed. The monster pounding on the scientists door finally breaks open the door, and the scientist ends the log.

Theorizing

The event present in the background is theorized to be the fall of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, with The Prototype creating a massive jailbreak on August 8th, 1995, which resulted in Bigger Bodies victims to run rampant around the factory, killing and feeding on any employees in the vicinity. This led to the deaths of many Playtime Co. scientists and forced the higher-up employees to flee the factory.

This event could also lead us into the events of Project: Playtime, where Leith Pierre sends in Resource Extraction Specialists to collect the Toy Parts in the Puzzle Pillars, while The Prototype sent savage monsters such as Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs and Boxy Boo to stop them and use their bodies to feed the starving experiments around the factory, such as the Wuggies.

Scientist: "Coordination and cooperation is evidently within his skillset, as well as the skillset of all other experiments of his type."

Scientist: "Though still missing, today's events are no doubt in relation to him."

Scientist: "His absence was a flaw in the scientific process, which should have under no circumstances been left unaccounted for."

Scientist: "That's why I'm making this log: So that the same mistake won't be made twice."

(Screams and pounding in background)

Scientist: "Any future experiments will need to be contained and disposed of in a secure location."

Trivia

  • The words "coordination" and "unaccounted" are spelled incorrectly in the subtitles. It is unknown if this was intentional or accidental, or if they will be fixed in the future.
  • It is heavily assumed that the Scientist at the end was attacked and killed by Huggy Wuggy as we heard screeches of him in the background,
  • A similarly structured VHS tape was found at the end of Chapter 2: Fly in a Web, known as Log 08502.
    • The fact that the Scientist refers to Log 08502 by name and this log as the "final log" makes it reasonable to assume that the Scientist may have recorded a variety of logs but we have only heard of two thus far.
  • Originally, fans thought Experiment 1006 referred to Huggy Wuggy. However, this was proven to be false, as Huggy Wuggy was confirmed to be Experiment 1170, as stated in Log 08502.
