Minor Characters are characters that vaguely appear throughout the game, not being expanded upon nor mentioned after their listing. Seen on this page, we list characters with little-to-no information revealed alongside them.

Chapter 2: Fly in a Web

Rejected Toys

Orange Robot Toy

The Orange Robot Toy, which remained nameless, was an rejected toy idea from Playtime Co. and was exclusively referenced in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web of Poppy Playtime. Although the manager disclosed a personal fondness for the toy, the company ultimately chose Mommy Long Legs and completely abandoned the Orange Robot Toy concept.

The toy's physical characteristics are not heavily described beyond the suggestion that it is orange in colour. However, it is known that the Orange Robot Toy was originally designed to be part of Playtime Co.'s stretch toy concept and therefore likely had elastic or flexible properties.

Surprise Hare

Suprise Hare.png

Surprise Hare is a toy produced by Playtime Co., which made its debut in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web of Poppy Playtime. Surprise Hare has a teal oval shape with two red ears with yellow inner colouring. It has a white underbelly and face, along with an oval-shaped body. An alternate version of this toy can be seen within the darkness near the rightest shelf. It is very similar to its trailer appearance, with one damaged ear, a fluffy tail, and a brighter greenish colour.

Although there's no record of the toy ever being released, there are several decaying versions of it strewn about the room, presumably implying that the toy was discontinued or rejected.

Employees

Matteo Lata

Matteo Lata was an unknown employee of Playtime Co. and is first heard of Makayla Hyssop's Assessment Form in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. He is depicted as a Game Station conductor, taking notes on Makayla Hyssop's second playthrough throughout all three Game Station games. He is presumed dead alongside Sarah Abell after a blood splatter is depicted on the page he was writing on.

Sarah Abell

Sarah Abell was an unknown employee of Playtime Co. and is first heard of Makayla Hyssop's Assessment Form in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. She is depicted as a Game Station conductor, taking notes on Makayla Hyssop's first playthrough throughout all three Game Station games. She is presumed dead after a blood splatter is depicted on the page she was writing on.

Matthew Wayson

Dr. Matthew Wayson was an unknown employee and is first heard of in the Formal Request Form item in Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. Judging by the fact that he is depicted as a Doctor, he may be one of the scientists responsible for the experiments with children. However, it is much more likely that he is a psychologist as he focuses exclusively on the mental health of the children and notes an important point that an area should feel natural in order to calm people down.

Project: Playtime

Johnny, Maggie, and Bill

Johnny, Maggie, and Bill are three employees all featured all within Project: Playtime's Survivor Tutorial. They each are seen after being sent down the Feeding Pit by Huggy Wuggy. Johnny and Maggie appear inside of the Feeding Pit, with Leith Pierre commentating over how long they had been there, and their presence after being presumed dead. Before Leith calls Bill to pull you up, Maggie gets abducted by the Wuggies.

Bill is later tasked to pull the Survivor out of the Feeding Pit with their GrabPack. After doing so, you are tasked with pulling Johnny out of the pit. The three all escape through calling the Train over to their location.

Shoppy (character)

Shoppy's appearance.

Shoppy was a minor character previously intended to be a background prop while in the Shop tab in Project: Playtime. It is depicted as a colourful cash register appearing with dilated eyes and a series of buttons and utilities such as a weight scale, abacus, and hand-crank. The item appears to be officially trademarked by Playtime Co.

The item may be an item officially sold alongside the many other toys innovated by Playtime Corporation, as the toy shares many features commonly seen on toys such as bright colours, the abacus, and the lack of official cash register features. The toy also shares a striking resemblance to many other toys similar to its kind.

VHS Tapes

Jaren

Jaren is an unknown Playtime Co. employee that seemingly has connections with Playtime Co's Marketing Department, given the power to schedule meetings with the rest of the Marketing Department. Jaren is only mentioned during the Playtime Co. Merch Tape when Leith Pierre tells him to schedule a meeting with the Marketing Department as one of the shirts marketed alongside the introduction of Poppy Playtime merchandise website depicts Huggy Wuggy eating a human arm.

Jaren is the only unconfirmed employee mentioned, which is confirmed by a developer.[1]

1170 Retrieval Team

The faces of all 11 security team workers who were considered a casualty.

The 1170 Retrieval Team is a group of 11 security workers sent to retrieve Huggy Wuggy after his escape from the Playtime Co. Facility in RESTRICTED_disappearance. They were equipped with tranquilizer guns in order to sedate 1170 should they find him. Two were depicted violently killed by the hands of 1170, alongside others whose bodies were captured on camera. Out of 11 casualties, 5 were declared deceased while the other 6 were deemed missing, presumably having been devoured by 1170.

Unused

Love Dog

Love Dog's model.

Love Dog is a rejected toy created by Playtime Co, who has yet to make a debut in a chapter. Its only appearance is its model seen in the files of Chapter 2: Fly in a Web. It appears as a dull purple basset hound with black eyes, a large pink heart-shaped nose, and no mouth. It has a long body, short stubby legs, and a pink tail.
